What is Paint Correction?

Paint Correction is a paint defect removal process. You may have heard the terms “polishing” or “buffing”, these fall under this category. This process levels your clear coat layer down to a safe, flat level to get rid of surface level defects that are in the paint. Paint correction includes extensive detailing, decontamination, and a sealant as well. Making your vehicle smooth, glossy, and protected all around.

Here in Florida, it is difficult to avoid paint defects like scratches and oxidation due to the unpredictable weather conditions. Paint Correction Packages

1 Step Polish

The 1 step polish removes most of the main defects you can see in your paint, but we can only do so much with 1 step. If your vehicle has light micro-scratches, oxidation, water spots, and want a beautiful gloss all around, this is the service for you. With a full clay bar service included, your paint is going to be near as smooth and glossy as the day you got it. Around 50-75% of defects removed.

2 Step Correction

If your vehicle has been neglected most of its life, or has been riddled with swirl marks from car washes or improper cleaning, this would be the service to restore your paint. Around 75-90% of defects removed.

3+ Step Correction

The ultimate service to restore your paint as much as possible, this is our most meticulous paint correction process we can offer, and can expect results as good as we can get it without wet sanding or repainting. around 90-95%+ of defects removed.

Paint Correction FAQs

  • Some common paint defects that occur from everyday use include: light/micro scratches, water spots, and bug/bird/tar etchings. Some of these defects can be masked by a wax for a month or two, but paint correction removes as much of these defects as we can from the paint permanently.

  • Paint correction removes defects permanently. But these defects can happen again just as easily as they happened the first time without any protection. We include our paint Sealant with every correction, but we highly recommend going the extra step and getting yourself a highly protective ceramic coating to ensure these defects don’t return easily.

  • Typically 1-2 days for 1-2 step correction, and between 2-3 days for 3+ step correction.

  • In most cases, yes. Paint correction is involved in the overall preparation process and can usually only be left out on perfect new car paint.
